All Skye + Lach glasses are tested to meet the Australian/New Zealand Standard for Sunglasses and Fashion Spectacles (AS/NZS 1067:2016)

Our lenses are chosen for the best protection of UV rays and glare reduction.

All our lenses are UV400 which provide nearly 100% protection from harmful ultraviolet light rays, blocking wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, including UVA and UVB rays. 

Protection from UV light is important because without it you’re at risk of developing cataracts, macular degeneration, or even eye cancers that can lead to permanent blindness.

Our sunglasses are classified either as Cat.2 or Cat.3 in regards to sun glare reduction. 

View the below for further information on the different lens types:

• Lens category 0: Fashion spectacles These are not sunglasses, as they have a very low ability to reduce sun glare. They provide limited or no UV protection.
• Lens category 1: Fashion spectacles  Like category 0 lenses, these are not sunglasses; however, they do provide limited sun glare reduction and some UV protection. Fashion spectacles with category 1 lenses are not suitable for driving at night.
• Lens category 2: Sunglasses  These sunglasses provide a medium level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection.
• Lens category 3: Sunglasses  These sunglasses provide a high level of sun glare reduction and good level of UV protection.
• Lens category 4: Sunglasses These are special-purpose sunglasses that provide a very high level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection. Never wear them while driving.
  
  

Skye + Lach sunglasses are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for 6 months from date of purchase. Coverage is only with proof of purchase. The warranty is valid only for products that are purchased new and does not cover damage caused by general wear, abuse or mishandling.
